Dr. Kushwaha is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 32 years of medical experience. He specializes in adult degenerative conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine and has a clinical focus on complicated spine surgery, revision surgery, kyphoplasty, disk replacement, microdiskectomy, and minimally invasive spinal instrumentation and fusion.
He takes a conservative approach in treating orthopedic injuries and abnormalities and provides personalized, comprehensive care with state-of-the-art technology to patients aged 12 and above. Dr. Kushwaha was the first in Houston to perform kyphoplasty and lumbar artificial disk replacement.
He is a member of professional medical societies, has published several articles in his field, and has served as a faculty member at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston and as chief of spine surgery at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.
In his personal life, Dr. Kushwaha is married and has three children. He enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and golf in his free time.
