Dr. Stefan Gilthorpe, MD is a native of Slidell, Louisiana, raised in the Beaumont area with roots in small-town values. He brings this approach to his patient care by listening and communicating effectively with each patient.
With a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a Master’s from Lamar University, Dr. Gilthorpe went on to complete medical school, anesthesiology residency, and pain medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. His subspecialty focuses on interventional techniques for neck and back pain, peripheral joints, migraines, and other painful conditions.
With years of experience as an interventional pain specialist in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Dr. Gilthorpe has performed thousands of procedures and brings his passion for pain medicine to his patients at Better Life Spine & Pain Center, which he founded in 2020.
In his free time, Dr. Gilthorpe enjoys spending time with his wife, Darla, and their dogs, Olive and Hobbes. He can be found relaxing in an inner tube down the river or tending to a campfire at Magnolia Ridge on weekends.
